How to Draw Bubbie from Flapjack with Easy Step by Step Drawing Lesson

Step 1

Start out drawing Bubbie, the whale, by drawing an oval that looks like the above one – it is almost a circle.

Step 2

Now, with your pencil, follow the upper line of the oval but then go straight down at the left, like pictured above.

Step 3

I drew blue guidelines to show you where to place the whale’s mouth. Draw a guideline in the center of the oval, both vertically (up and down) and horizontally (right and left). Then draw a second horizontal guideline that cuts the bottom portion of the oval in half one more time. Reference the picture above.

Now draw a sideways letter ‘A’ like shape for the mouth.

Step 4

Now draw a line above and below the mouth.

Step 5

Now draw Bubbie the Whale’s tongue by drawing a curvy letter ‘m’ at the back of the mouth. Draw her lips by drawing a number ‘3’ shape at the bottom of the mouth. And draw the whale’s fin by drawing a letter ‘c’ (in red) and a sideways letter ‘c’ below it (highlighted in green).

Step 6

I drew 2 eyes and then drew guidelines on both sides of them to show you were to place them. Draw 2 ovals laying on the 1/2 way guideline in between the tongue and the right side of the mouth.
