Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions
(Step 1) Write out the word “cry” with spaces in between each letter, as I have done.
(Step 2) Draw an oval around the letter ‘r’.
(Step 3) Draw a backwards lowercase letter ‘r’ to the right of the original letter ‘r’ to form a letter ‘m’ shape.
(Step 4) Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape over the ‘m’ shape that you drew.
(Step 5) Draw a curvy #3 shape (on its side) under the ‘u’ shape that you just drew in the last step. This is the mouth.
(Step 6) Draw a curved line at the top of the mouth. Draw a curved line over the ‘y’ to form the right ear.
(Step 7) Draw a letter ‘C’ shape on left side of the head.
(Step 8) Draw a curved line over the right ear. Draw 2 lines for the neck.
(Step 9) Draw lines for teeth. Draw a curved line under the mouth for the chin.
(Step 10) Draw a sideways letter ‘c’ shape for the nose. Draw letter ‘c’ shapes inside the ears.
(Step 11) Draw ovals in the nose. Draw letter ‘v’ shapes on both sides of the nose.
(Step 12) Draw a letter ‘u’ shape on each letter ‘v’ to form tears.
(Step 13) The crying cartoon character is now a line drawing and looks finished.
(Step 14) Unless you decide to color it.
