Today I will show you how to draw a man in a robe or toga…he is either from ancient Rome or biblical times and he is drawn from the letter ‘y’ shape. We will guide you thru the simple steps below.

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions
(Step 1) Draw a letter ‘y’ shape.
(Step 2) Draw a rectangle around the letter ‘y’.
(Step 3) Draw check mark shapes above the ‘y’ and a curved line around the center of it.
(Step 4) Draw a letter ‘L’-like shape for the nose. Draw 2 lines between the check marks.
(Step 5) Draw 2 ovals for eyes. Draw letter ‘L’-like shapes, one on either side of the lower line that you drew in the last step.
(Step 6) Draw a letter ‘C’ shape for each ear. Draw a curved line for each eye brow. Draw a line below the mouth.
(Step 7) Draw squiggly line for hair. Draw 2 lines for the left arm and 2 letter ‘L’-like shapes for the right arms.
(Step 8) Draw 2 ?-like shapes.
(Step 9) Draw fingers on the left hand – one looks like a #2 shape and the other looks like a letter ‘c’ shape. On the right side draw a #5 shape…you are drawing the scroll.
(Step 10) Draw a letter ‘J’ shape on the left hand. Draw a curved line on the paper scroll.
(Step 11) Draw a backwards #3 shape for the fingers holding the scroll. Draw two letter ‘L’ shapes for the belt.
(Step 12) Draw a line to finish off the belt. Draw a sideways letter ‘B’ shape for feet.
(Step 13) Draw toes by draw ovals that get consecutively smaller as they go towards the outer foot.
(Step 14) Here is your line drawing of the man.
(Step 15) Color him in if you want.
