How to Draw Beds in One Point Perspective
Step 1
— Start off by drawing a horizontal line with a ruler or flat edge (the black line you see above).
— Then draw a dot somewhere in the middle of the line (the red dot that you see).
— Next, draw 2 long lines on the left and 2 shorter lines on the right (the red lines seen above).
Step 2
Use a ruler for this part of the tutorial too. Draw a line from the dot to the corners of the outer vertical lines. You can then erase the lines that are outside of the head board / foot board areas.

Step 3
Next draw a horizontal line (as seen in the larger blue line above) from the middle of the foot board across to the head board. Then with your ruler, draw a line from the left and right side of this horizontal line and connect it to the dot (as seen by the red lines). Connect the 2 red lines together, from the foot board to the head board (as seen by the shorter blue line).
Step 4
Now that you have the basic structure of the bed (in the correct perspective), it is time to start putting some detail into the bed.
Step 5
Lightly add a few simple shapes to guide you into the next step.
Step 6
If shapes are difficult to draw, then break them down into simpler shapes. Such as the ‘L’ and ‘T’ shape on the right side of the bed covers or like the sideways capital letter ‘J’ on the pillow. Use your imagination to help you draw.
Step 7
Now finish up the small details and add your own special touches and you have a beautiful cartoon bed. I hope this helped you draw your first bed in one point perspective.
