How to Draw Cartoon Birds with Alphabet Letter B Version Two

Today I will teach you how to take an ordinary capital letter ‘B’ and draw a cute cartoon bird sitting on a branch with it. We have done this before, you can see our first Letter B Birdie Tutorial Here.  This is a great drawing lesson for kids and preschoolers.

How to Draw Cartoon Birds with Alphabet Letter B Version Two

Step 1

Start off by drawing a simple, capital letter ‘B’.

Step 2

Now draw a big circle in the center of the top of the letter ‘B’. Then draw a smaller circle and fill it in. This probably now looks like a doughnut to you. Yummy!

Step 3

Now draw a big, sideways triangle to the right of the top section of the letter ‘B’.

Step 4

Draw a letter ‘J’ for the birdie’s wing. Also draw 2 slanty lines for the branch. Also lightly sketch a rectangle at the bottom of the letter ‘B’.

Step 5

Draw an oval at the end of the 2 lines for the end of the branch. Draw a number ‘3’ shape (sideways) with an extra hump…for the bird’s fingers / claws going around the branch. Draw an upside down letter ‘v’ at the top right of the branch…for part of the branch sticking out.

Step 6

Erase lines that you don’t need anymore and you have the finished bird. If you want to color it, use your imagination. Birds can be any color really.

Step 7
