STEP 01
Draw a sideways “C” shape or you can think of it as drawing half of an oval. This will be the bottom of Ponyo’s face.
STEP 02
Draw 2 outward curved lines. Notice that on each side of the face, there is an “S”-like curve.
STEP 03
(OPTIONAL) If you want to, lightly draw lines in the center of the face. This will help you place the facial features.
STEP 04
Draw an oval for each eye. Draw a curved line for her mouth.
STEP 05
Draw a curved line on both sides of her mouth. Draw a slanted “W” shape for her bangs.
STEP 06
Draw a “W”-like shape and a slanted “V”-like shape on her forehead.
STEP 07
We need to draw even more hair. Draw a backward “7” shape and a letter “Z” shape for more hair.

Draw some more “7”-like shapes and a curved line for hair.

Draw 2 upside-down “V” shapes.

And draw more of the upside-down “V” shapes.

Draw sideways “J” shapes for her arms.

Draw the bottoms of her arms.

Draw a wavy line at the bottom of her body.
