Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Blue lines in this tutorial are “guide lines”…this means that you are drawing them to guide you … but they will be erased later on. So lightly draw an oval guide line.

(Step 2) Draw a rectangle with rounded corners, lightly, as it is a guide line.

(Steps 3 + 4) Draw #3-like shapes around the guide lines. Draw oval eyes.

(Step 5) Draw a partial circle for the elephant’s body. Draw an upside down “?”-like shape for the trunk.

(Step 6) Draw 2 lines for each arm and leg. Draw a backwards “J” shape for part of the trunk.

(Step 7) Draw curved lines at the ends of the arms and legs. Draw a curved line at the top of the trunk.

(Step 8) Draw “S”-like curves (meaning an under curve followed by an over curve).

(Step 9) Draw a bunch of #3-like shapes.

(Step 10) Draw “S”-like curves in the ears. Draw curved lines on the trunk. Draw an oval under each eye.
