Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw a leaf shape for Mulan’s face.

(Step 2) Lightly draw guide lines through the face. These lines will be erased at the end and are only there to help guide you.

(Step 3) Draw leaf shaped eyes and a #2-like shape under the head.

(Step 4) Draw a letter ‘J’ shaped mouth. Draw a letter ‘Y’ shape under the chin.

(Step 5) Draw letter ‘s’ curved for the bangs and one of her arms. Draw another line as well.

(Step 6) Draw a #5 shape below Mulan’s arm.

(Step 7) Draw letter ‘s’ shapes above her eyes for lashes. Draw a letter ‘v’ shape for the top of Mulan’s mouth.

(Step 8) Draw a letter ‘E’ shape for part of her hand. Also draw 2 curved lines for the top of her chest.

(Step 9) Draw a #3 shape for her hair tie and a letter ‘F’ shape for her stomach and legs.

(Step 10) Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ and sideways letter ‘V’ shape for her eye brows. Draw a sideways #2 shape for part of her lips.

(Step 11) Draw a letter ‘C’ shape around her head for hair. Draw a letter ‘s’ and #7 shape on her hand.

(Step 12) Draw moon shaped nostrils and a curved line for part of her lips. Draw a sideways letter ‘Y’ for part of her sash / belt.

(Step 13) Draw a letter ‘S’-like shape for her pony tail. Draw a few other lines and circles in her eyes.

(Step 14) Draw a letter ‘U’ shape to finish up one of her fingers. Draw a sideways ‘?’ shape for her thumb. Draw a curved line for her arm and hair.

(Step 15) Draw some curved lines.

(Step 16) Draw curved letter ‘v’ shapes for strands of hair hanging down.

(Step 17) Erase lines that you no longer need.
