Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) All blue lines in this tutorial are guide lines and should be drawn lightly. These lines will be erased at the end.

Start off with a rectangle.

(Step 2) Draw lines thru the center.

(Step 3) Draw vertical lines thru the centers.

(Step 4) Draw horizontal lines thru the centers. You should now have 16 rectangles.

(Step 5) Draw an oval that is the size of the rectangle.

(Step 6) Draw a flattened oval in the center, using the guidelines to figure out how large to make it.

(Step 7) Draw a curved line from the right side of the small oval to the middle-bottom of the 1st rectangle.

(Step 8) Draw a curved line from the left side of the small oval to the middle-top of the last rectangle.

(Step 9) Draw a line on both sides.

(Step 10) Draw a curved line on both sides too.

(Step 11) Erase the guide lines, as well as any parts of the outer oval that you don’t need any longer.

(Step 12) The bottom part of the Mobius Strip should be dark and the top of the Mobius Strip should be lighter.
