Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1 – 2) Draw the basic shapes that make up the pointing hand. All blue lines in this tutorial are guide lines. Draw guide lines lightly as they are there to guide you but will be erased at the end.

(Step 3) Draw a curved rectangle for the middle finger.

(Step 4) Draw another curved rectangle, this time smaller, to form a #8 shape with both fingers.

(Step 5) Draw a #7 shape.

(Step 6) Draw another curved rectangle, this time smaller, for the pinky.

(Step 7) Draw an uppercase letter ‘D’-like shape for the thumb.

(Step 8) Draw a sideways ‘?’ shape on the bottom of the hand.

(Step 9) Draw a sideways #7 shape.

(Step 10) Draw a letter ‘T’-like shape at the top of the wrist.

(Step 11) Draw two curved lines.

(Step 12) Draw a letter ‘c’ shape for the thumb’s nail.

Erase guide lines and then you are done.
