Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw 2 ovals…draw them lightly as they will be erased later.

(Step 2) Draw a #2-like shape as well as a backwards letter ‘c’ shape for the boy’s ear.

(Step 3) Draw a backwards #5 shape for the front of the boy’s face. Draw a ?-like shape for his back and shoulder.

(Step 4) Draw a letter ‘c shape for her ear. Draw a flattened letter ‘v’ shape for his arm. Draw a ?-like shape for his thigh / leg.

(Step 5) Draw a curved line for his ear. Draw a letter ‘c’ shape for her hair band. Draw 2 curved lines for her arms.

(Step 6) Draw a letter ‘W’ shape for his hair. Draw another letter ‘c’ shape for the 2nd part of her hair band. Draw a line for the front of his leg.

(Step 7) Draw 2 outward curved lines for her pony tail. Draw a curved line for the bottom of her dress.

(Step 8) Draw a curved line for the bottom of her pony tail. Draw a #2-like shape for his shoe.

(Step 9) Draw a sideways letter ‘j’ shape on his hand. Draw 2 curved lines for her legs. Draw a line at the bottom of his head.

(Step 10) Draw a letter ‘W’ shape on his hair. Draw a sideways letter ‘U’ shape for her hand.

(Step 11) Draw a triangle shape for her shoe and a line for the top of his shoe. Draw a curved line below his face and a line behind his ear.

(Step 12) Outline the head guide-lines – only on the parts I have shown highlighted. Draw a letter ‘S’ in each ear.

(Step 13) Erase any lines that are no longer needed.

(Step 14) Color in the kids if you have the time.
