How to Draw Matilda – the White Angry Bird – from The Angry Birds Movie

Today I will show you how to draw the female / white angry bird named Matilda. She is pretty easy to draw so this is an easy angry bird to start with. Matilda is from the new Angry Birds movie…so I hope you enjoy it. Have fun following along with the simple steps below.

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw an oval that is wider at the bottom, sort of like an egg.

(Step 2) Draw guidelines around it – just as I have.

(Step 3) Draw 2 ovals for eyes…they overlap like a #8 shape.

(Step 4) Draw ovals above and to the left of the bird…these will be parts of the feathers. Draw a shape that is sort of like an uppercase letter ‘D’ that is on its side.

(Step 5) Draw letter ‘v’ shapes under under 2 of the ovals. Draw an oval inside each eye. Draw a backwards letter ‘J’ shape under the beak.

(Step 6) Draw letter ‘v’ shapes under 2 more of the ovals. Draw curved lines for eye lids. Draw a curved line inside the beak.

(Step 7) Draw a letter ‘v’ shape under the last oval. Draw another oval inside each eye. Draw letter ‘v’ shaped eye lashes. Draw 2 curved lines inside of the beak.

(Step 8) Draw letter ‘u’ shapes on top of each of the letter ‘v’ shapes that you drew…forming feathers. Draw a curved line inside of the mouth.

(Step 9) Draw 2 ovals for cheeks…and one oval at the bottom of the bird. Also draw curved lines for eye brows.

(Step 10) Fill in the eyes and eye lashes with black. You can color in the angry bird if you choose to.
