How to Draw a Cartoon Dad and Children from the Word Dad – Easy Word Toon Drawing Tutorial for Kids

Written Out Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

(Step 1) Draw the word dad out in lowercase letters.

(Step 2) Draw lines alongside the straight lines you already drew.

(Step 3) Draw curved lines for the smiles on the letter ‘d’ faces. Draw a letter ‘U’ shape for the dad’s nose (the lowercase ‘a’ is the dad’s face). Then draw long curved lines for the bodies. Also draw curved lines for the end of the sleeves.

(Step 4) Draw #3-like shapes for the hands. Draw curved lines for the kids’ eyes. Draw dots for the dad’s eyes.

(Step 5) Draw spirals for curly hair (or use lines for straight hair). Draw an upside down letter ‘v’ shape for the dad’s hair. Draw curved lines for eye brows. Draw letter ‘T’ shapes at the bottom of their bodies. Draw curved lines connecting the dad’s hands to the kids’ outer arms.

(Step 6) Draw sideways ‘c’ shapes for their collars. Draw sideways letter ‘B’ shapes for feet. The dad is on his knees so he doesn’t get feet.

(Step 7) Draw curved lines for the dad’s hair and sleeves. Draw a #3 shape for the dad’s knees.

(Step 8) Your drawing is finished…you can color it in if you want. Definitely give it to your dad and teach your friends how to do it too.
