Written-Out Step by Step Instructions

(Step 1) Lets draw the basic shapes of Nick’s body. Draw them lightly, as these are just guides. The head is formed with a sideways letter ‘D’ shape and letter ‘J’ shape. Draw ovals for the body and an ‘L’ shape for the tail. Draw an upside down ‘V’ shape for legs and ‘D’ shapes for feet.

(Step 2) Draw letter ‘V’ shaped ears, an ‘L’ shaped bridge of the noise, a curved line for the smile, ‘M’ shape for the collar and bottom of shirt. Draw a sideways ‘S’ shape on chest. Draw zig-zags around tail for fur.

(Step 3) Draw ‘v’ shape inside left ear. Draw ‘D’ shaped eyes and nose. Draw collar. Draw sideways ‘S’ and ‘J’ at arm level. Outline leg guides.

(Step 4)Draw zig-zag shapes around face guidelines. Draw curved lines under eyes. Draw a letter ‘C’ shape around the nose and left arm. Finish right arm. Draw ‘V’ shape for bottom of tie. Draw line in center of pants. Draw curved lines for toes.

(Step 5) Draw 2 curved half circles in each eye. Add details to face. Lightly draw sideways ‘S’ shape over left eye and curved line over right eye. Draw ovals for fingers. Draw arm…draw lines over ‘V’ shape. Finish feet.

(Step 6) Add ‘V’shaped nails. Finish left hand and the right-side of tie. Finish up the face.

(Step 7) Draw lines on tie.

(Step 8) Erase guidelines.
