Written-Out Step-by-Step Instructions
(Step 1) Lightly draw a circle. Draw guidelines thru center.
(Step 2) Lightly draw dashes half way thru centers.
(Step 3) Again, lightly draw dashes halfway theu the centers.
(Step 4) In some places, lightly draw a dash line halfway betwen previous dashed lines. These dashed lines will help youp easily place eyes, nose and mouth.Lightly draw guidelines down, with a ruler, from the far right dash line and from the center dashed line on the left. Once you do this, draw a cirlce from the bottom center dashed line…and the width of those lines that you just drew.
(Step 5) Draw downwards lines for the tops of eyes. Use the dashed lines to help you place them correctly. Lightly Draw 3 ovals at top of smaller circle…these will be the guidelines for the nose.
(Step 6) Draw a sideways letter ‘V’ shape on the left eye. Draw a sideways letter ‘S’ curve at the bottom of the right eye and at the bottom of the nose guides. Draw a backwards letter ‘J’ shape for the left side of the face. Draw a curved line for the right side of the face.
(Step 7) Draw a curved line to finish off both eyes. Draw a sideways curved line that looks like a letter ‘c’ shape for the left nostril. Draw a curved line on both sides of nose. Draw 3 ovals as guides for the lips.
(Step 8) Draw a curved line at the top of the head. Draw a curved line for the bangs. Draw a line from 2 of the dashed lines shown in the picture. Then draw curved lines for ear. Use mouth guidelines to draw the top of the mouth. Draw circles for insides of eyes.
(Step 9) Draw little lines for eye brow hairs, forming eye brows that slant as I show you. Draw curved lines inside of the ears. Draw smaller circle inside each eye. Draw center of mouth, also using the mouth guidelines to help you with shape. Draw bottom angle of chin.
(Step 10) Draw a few finishing details.
(Step 11) Add shading.
