Written Out Step by Step Instructions

(Step 1) Draw a letter ‘U’ shape for Peppermint Patty’s face.

(Step 2) Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape for the hair. Lightly draw a guideline within the face. Draw curved lines for the neck.

(Step 3) Draw a leaf shape on top of the head for the bangs. Draw a letter ‘C’ shaped nose. Draw her smile. Draw a letter ‘V’ shape for her collar.

(Step 4) Draw curved lines on either side of the face for her inner hairs. Draw an oval for each eye as well as at the ends of her smile. Draw #2-like shapes on either side of her collar.

(Step 5) Draw a letter ‘S’-like shape on the left side of her bangs. Draw a curved line on the right side of her bangs to connect her hair to the bangs. Draw ovals for the whites of her eyes and circle for her freckles. Draw a curved line for each eye brow. And draw zig-zags at the ends of her hairs. Draw a line at the bottom of her collar.

(Step 6) Draw a curved line at the top of the eye brows. Draw a curved line on both sides of her shirt.

(Step 7) Draw a curved line at the right side of her collar. Draw ovals for her arms. Draw the bottom of her shirt. Draw a line for the left side of her pants. Draw a sideways letter ‘S’ shape for the bottom of her right pants leg.

(Step 8) Draw a letter ‘L’ shape for her left sleeve and a curved line for her right sleeve. Draw a circle at the top of her right arm. Draw a sideways ?-like shape for part of her left foot. Draw a line in the center of her pants.

(Step 9) Draw curved lines for the inner part of her sleeves. Draw a #3 shape for her fingers on her right hand. Draw a sideways letter ‘D’ shape for her right foot.

(Step 10) Draw a ?-like shape for her right thumb. Finish the pants. Draw curved lines for the straps on her sandals. Lightly draw circles for the guidelines for drawing her toes.

(Step 11) Draw another #3 shape for her fingers on her right hand. Draw curved lines for the bottoms of her sandals.

(Step 12) Draw stripes on her shirt. Outline the toe guidelines to form toes. Draw a strap on the left sandal.

(Step 13) Finish up the sandals by drawing sideways letter ‘E’ like shapes along the bottom of the sandal.

(Step 14) Erase remaining guidelines and darken/thicken remaining lines.
