I found this tutorial for drawing a hand gripping a pencil in an old text book. I thought it was pretty good so I have posted it. However, this tutorial is more advanced than most of the tutorials on this site. This tutorial for drawing a gripping hand might be easier. Either way, have fun!

Add more details to add the 3-dimensional qualities of the hand. Block it out the way is seen above.
– Start adding some shadows to add depth.
– Darken the shadows and your hand will look like the one above.
