Today I will show you how to draw a cute cartoon moose. If you are visiting the northern states of America or you live in Canada, you might see a moose trying to cross the road or in the wilderness. They are a beautiful and majestic animal. Today we will show you how to draw a whimsical cartoon Moose.

How to Draw a Cartoon Moose with Step by Step Lesson

Step 1

– Draw a sideways, capital letter ‘D’.

– Draw 4 circles underneath it – towards the back of the letter ‘D’.

– Drawn an oval for the head.

Step 2

– Lightly draw guidelines to help you place facial features later.

– Draw a sideways #3 shape at the top of the head.

– Draw a letter ‘J’-like shape in the lower-left hand side of the face.

– Draw a ?-like shape at the back of the body.

– Draw inwards curved lines connecting the circles to the body.

Step 3

– Draw two sideways letter ‘D’ shapes…to form a capital letter ‘B’ shape for the front hooves.

– Draw a letter ‘S’-like shape for the lower lip.

– Draw ovals for eyes.

– Draw a #5 shape on the face.

– Draw 2 sideways letter ‘D’ shapes for the tops of the antlers.

Step 4

– Draw two sideways letter ‘D’ shapes…to form a capital letter ‘B’ shape for the back hooves.

–  Draw a sideways letter ‘F’ shape under the eyes.

– Draw several other basic shapes within the antlers.

Step 5

– Draw letter ‘M’-like shaped zig-zags for the tufts of hair around the hooves.

– Draw 2 letter ‘S’-like shapes around the ear.

– Draw a #3-like shape on top of the nose.

– Draw a few more simple shapes that are labeled on the antlers.

Step 6

– Draw 2 letter ‘S’-like shapes at the back of the body.

– Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape for the bottom of the tail.

Step 7

– Draw letter ‘M’-like shaped zig-zags for the tufts of hair around face and at the end of the tail.

– Draw 2 lines connecting the tail to the body.

Step 8

– Darken the important lines and erase the guidelines (blue in the tutorial).

Step 9

– Erase any remaining lines that you don’t need.

– Draw a curved line at the top of each eye…for the eye lids.
