Today we are going to show you how to draw a Christmas stocking filled with gifts and goodies (including a candy cane, present, and a snow man). We show you how to draw this stocking with simple shapes and forms.

How to Draw Christmas Stockings with Easy Steps for Kids

Step 1

In this first step, I’m going to want you to lightly sketch out 2 rectangles…as seen above.

Step 2

Then use the rectangles as a guide to help you draw the real shape of the stocking. Just round out the corners as seen. There is also one curve at the heel, as seen above.

Step 3

Next, draw a few curves.

Step 4

– Then draw lines all along the curves that you drew on the front and back of the stocking.

– At the top of the stocking, lightly draw a circle and 2 letter ‘J’ shapes.

Step 5

– Draw 2 curved lines at the top of the circle.

– Draw a circle for each eye, and a sideways letter ‘V’ shape for the nose.

– Draw a letter ‘U’ shape at the end of the candy cane.

Step 6

– Lightly draw 2 triangles at the top of the snowman’s head.

– Draw dots in the shape of a smile on the snowman’s face.

– Lightly draw a slanted rectangle

Step 7

– Lightly draw a circle at the left of the triangles you drew.

– Draw an upside down triangle on top of the rectangle. Also draw 2 lines.

– Draw curved lines all thru the candy cane.

Step 8

– Draw the outline of the hat and erase the parts of the triangle guides that you don’t need. Draw curvy lines all over the hat’s pom-pom.

– Draw 2 ovals for part of the bow.

Finished Christmas Stocking

Now erase any lines that aren’t needed any more.
