This chateau castle tutorial is cleaned up a bit from a very old book so that is why the imagery is a bit old looking. A chateau is a house or castle that is owned by the lord or nobility of a manor…especially in French regions. Chateaus often look like castles, as you will see with the chateau below.
Draw 4 vertical lines.
Now draw 2 horizontal lines at the top. At the bottom draw 2 sideways question mark shapes, as seen above.

Now draw a triangle at the top of each tower.
Now draw a few horizontal lines. Draw the door and entrance which are just vertical lines with curved tops.
Draw 2 small triangles on the roof. Draw a few oval shapes and square shapes for windows. Also draw letter ‘U’ shaped humps for ornamental designs.
Now just add some details to the drawing…you can see that shrubbery and bushes were added by just sketching in some squiggly lines. You can add your own touches.
