Today we will show you how to draw the cartoon pet hamster called Hamtaro (in Japan, he is called Tottoko Hamutaro). this was a Japanese anime cartoon that was on about ten years ago, and I think still airs today (maybe with reruns though). The main cartoon character in this series is a hamster named Hamtaro. In this cartoon, Hamtaro plays with other adorable hamsters. I hope you enjoy drawing him below…the step by step process should guide you thru the process easily. Have fun.
How to Draw Hamtaro the Cartoon Pet Hamster with Simple Drawing Tutorial
Step 1
Start off with a fat oval-ish shape. Draw guidelines around the face as you see in the illustration … this will help you place the facial features in the right place later on in the tutorial.
Step 2
Draw a smaller curved square at the bottom for the body.

Step 3
Add two circles on top for the ear.
Step 4
Add some small curves for his mouse-like limbs….you can look at them like sideways letter ‘U’ shapes if it helps you. The legs look like rectangles and you should add a triangle at the bottom right side of the body now.
Step 5
Draw in his eyes, nose, mouth, ear holes, and whiskers. Draw a line across the top of his head for the fur division. Use simple shapes, such as ovals, triangles, letters, and numbers to help you draw more difficult shapes. Use the guidelines from step #1 to help you place the facial features in the correct spots.
Step 6
Draw in his fingers and toes….they look like number ‘3’ shapes with an extra hump….maybe they look like something else to you. Use your creativity to make drawing easier.
Step 7
Erase your guidelines, add black edgings, and you’re done!

It is great just I can not draw very round
It is hard to draw things round. It takes practice. If you draw loosely and very lightly at first, you can keep moving your arm until you get a circle / oval. Then trace the lines that you do like and erase the rest of the lines. I hope that makes sense.
