How to Draw Domo-kun the Official Mascot of Japan’s NHK Television Station with Easy Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Step 1

First, lightly sketch a tall rectangle.

Step 2

Use the rectangle as a guide to help you draw an off-shaped oval within. Then erase the rectangle.

Step 3

Then draw two guide lines to make the half point. Draw a circle for each eye, try to find the right place to draw them as seen in the illustration above.

Step 4

Next, draw a white circle highlight in each eye. Then draw a rectangle with rounded corners.

Step 5

Draw a bunch of letter ‘M’ shaped zig-zags for the teeth.

Step 6

Then lightly draw a rectangle for each leg. For his left arm and hand, lightly draw a circle and a stick figure arm that looks like a ‘L’ shape. For his right arm and hand, draw a grape shaped oval and a stick figure arm.

Step 7

Next, draw lines around the stick arms to add mass and then draw legs with rounded bottoms inside of the guide rectangles.
