How to Draw a Cartoon Gorilla in Shen’s Gorilla Army from Kung Fu Panda 2

Step 1A

Lets start to draw the basic shapes that make up the gorilla’s body. Firstly, draw 2 ovals and a squarish shape wit the bottom a bit wider than the top.

Step 1B

Now draw a circle on either side of the top oval that you drew in the previous step. The one on the left should be a bit bigger. Draw a line for each arm with an oval in the center of each.

Step 1C

Now draw a few more details.

Step 2

Now draw the outline of the head and left arm contour first. It might help you to draw an oval for the cheek and a rectangle for the chin to help you draw the outlines. Notice that the fur zig-zags look a bit like letter ‘M’ shapes. To help you draw the knuckles, you might want to lightly sketch ovals as I did.

Step 3

Now draw the chest and foot contour. Notice the chest has a sideways number ‘3’ shape as well as a capital letter ‘B’ shape.
