Today we will show you how to draw a goofy looking cartoon snail slithering around….leaving his slime every where. If you can draw basic shapes and letters, then you will be able to follow our step by step cartooning lesson below. Have fun.

Start off by drawing a swirly shape….just start by drawing a circle, but instead of closing the circle draw around the circle and keep going.
Now draw a curved, upward slanted line under the swirl.
Now draw the design inside the shell…you can do this however you please….it is YOUR snail. 🙂
Now underneath the picture from step 3, draw a straight line….close the shape with a sideways letter ‘Y’.
Make the straight line into a rippled line … like a wave. Make the ‘v’ shape into a 3-d ‘v’ (sort of like a bubble letter) If you want, you can colorize the snail.
Draw an eye by drawing a big circle, with 2 smaller circles inside of it. The smallest, center-most, circle should be black. Then for a highlight, erase a circle so it will look like a white circled highlight.
Now, to draw the top of the smile….draw a backwards letter ‘J’ shape. Draw a curved line for the bottom of the smile. Draw a sideways capital letter ‘E’ for the goofy teeth. Make your cartoon snail into whatever you want to…there are no rules on how it has to look…since it is supposed to be humorous.
