Today, we will show you how to draw Flash from DC Comics series. The Flash is a name shared by several fictional comic book superheroes from the DC Comics universe. Nicknamed the Scarlet Speedster, all incarnations of the Flash possess “super-speed”, which includes the ability to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes and seemingly violate certain laws of physics.

How to Draw Flash from DC Comics with Easy Step by Step Drawing Lesson

Step 1

Start off by making a simple ball and stick figure to establish a pose. Feel free to pose your character any way you want.  Its important that the chest will be the largest circle, followed by the pelvis, the head, the shoulders, and the hands being the smallest circle. Remember that giving your character a large chest makes him look “heroic”.

Step 2

Add some circles for the knees and elbows. These circles are of the same size. They are also smaller than the shoulder, but larger than the hands.

Step 3

Draw some lines outside each circle’s edge to connect them and give your character a basic body.

Step 4

Use the guidelines to help place Flash’s facial features. Start drawing the nose by drawing a letter ‘v’ like shape. Underneath it draw a line and then a smaller line. Notice that the tops of the eyes slant upwards as if they met, it would look like a letter ‘v’…this is how you draw a mad look.

Step 5

Now start drawing the fists. There really isn’t much detail here…just humps for the knuckles.

Step 6

From there on, you can now add some muscles and face to your character.

Step 7

Finally, draw your character’s costume and other details.

Step 8

If you want to color in Flash…these are the colors that he is usually colorized with (gold and maroon). Have fun.
