Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey is a series of American children’s books about two fourth graders, George Beard and Harold Hutchins, and the superhero they accidentally create by hypnotizing their principal, Mr. Benny Krupp. This is a series of books that my kids all thought was hilarious and I even painting a mural of Captain Underpants on my son’s wall when he was a little kid. Start Lightly Sketching the basic shapes that make up Captain Underpants form.
Now make stick figure arms and legs with ovals for the hands and feet.
Start drawing his face.
Draw his weird nose by drawing an oval … but at the bottom bring up the corners.
Start drawing his fist and the bottom of his mouth.
His teeth.
Lightly sketch ovals for his fingers.
Start drawing his cape.
Make letter ‘M’s at the bottom of the cape.
Make the cape’s tie by drawing a circle and 2 petal shapes.
Color in Captain Underpants.
Now draw and paint in the highlights.
