Lightly sketch the basic shapes that make up the Frankenstein character.
Now lets focus on Frankenstein’s face and head. The light gray rectangle above is the head that you sketched in the first step. Within the rectangle….draw the shape that you see in black. Lightly sketch a line down the center both ways.
Now draw Frankenstein’s chin by drawing a ‘u’ shape that is wider than the bottom of the shape that you drew in step #2. Also round the top of Frankenstein’s head.
The red lines are to show you where to place the facial features, such as the eyes and nose. Draw a circle for each eye so that it looks like a sideways number ‘8’. Draw a nose by drawing an almost-circle.
Now draw eye lids and draw a circle inside each eye for the pupil. Draw a curved line on the head and chin for scars and cross it a few times (like a letter ‘t’). Also draw zig-zag lines for Frankenstein’s bangs.
Now that you have his head finished…start putting in some of the details of Frankenstein’s body.
Draw 3 letter ‘u’s that are all attached (like sideways number ‘3’s with an extra hump).
Now draw a downwards curved line above each letter ‘u’ shape.
Draw an upside down letter ‘u’ for each of Frankenstein’s nails. Also draw a lowercase letter ‘e’ for each thumb (the one on the left is backwards though).
Now lets work on Frankenstein’s shoes. Draw 2 inwards curved lines at the bottom of the left shoe – the one on the top is bigger. On the right shoe….draw a small ‘u’ at the bottom and a much bigger upside down letter ‘u’ at the top.
On the left shoe connect the 2 lines that you drew in the previous step with a line on each side…and then finish drawing the shoe. On the right shoe connect the 2 lines with inwards curved lines.
