Thanksgiving is coming up soon…so do you want to learn how to draw cute cartoon pilgrims for Thanksgiving to wow family and friends? Cartoon pilgrims (in this case a pilgrim girl) aren’t always easy to draw, but after seeing how they are drawn, I bet you will shock all of your friends with your drawing abilities. I have put together a step-by-step tutorial that will help you figure out how to draw a cartoon pilgrim girl by using simple shapes to build up this pilgrims’ form. This is an intermediate cartooning tutorial that kids, teens, and adults will enjoy. Even some younger children might be able to draw pilgrims if you stand by to help with the instructions. Enjoy!
How to Draw Cartoon Pilgrims for Thanksgiving Step by Step Drawing Tutorial for Kids, Teens, and Adults
The above picture of a cartoon pilgrim girl is what we will be drawing step by step today. Find this drawing tutorial below. Get out a piece of paper, a pencil, and a black marker. Good luck.
Take out your piece of paper and your pencil..we are about to sketch. Look at the picture above. I know that this doesn’t look anything like the finished pilgrim picture picture that you are attempting to draw…but I will explain why the picture above looks so strange. Well, what I was trying to show you (in the picture above) was that the girl is made up of a bunch of simple shapes. Do you see the body of the pilgrim girl looks like a cone-like shape and that her face looks like a circle?Well, I want you to be able to visualize this so you can start to draw images more easily. So take out your pencil and lightly draw the pilgrim girl’s simpler shapes the way that I did above. Don’t worry about mistakes because you can erase these later. Later, you will be using a pen or marker to outline the ‘right’ lines.
Now pretend that the girl’s face is round like a basketball and draw a line around the center of the circle, both vertically and horizontally. Since the girl is looking towards the right, the vertical line is 1/3 of the way from the right side of the circle.
Now draw the eyes on top of the center line. She has oval-like eyes.
Now draw 4 small lines on each eye for eye lashes as well as a small circle in each eye. Also draw a curved line above each eye for the pilgrim girl’s eyebrows.
Now draw another smaller circle inside the eyes for the girl’s pupils..color them in except for a spot (the highlight of the eye). Draw the nose as a small curve…and draw the top line of the girl’s mouth.
Now draw the bottom of the girl’s mouth…fill in the mouth except for the girl’s teeth.
