Do you want to learn how to draw Dr. Doofenshmirtz  from Phineas and Ferb? Professor Doofenshmirtz is Perry the Platypus’ arch nemesis who is always trying to take over the tri-state area with his evil schemes. My kids have a favorite cartoon on Disney and that is Phineas and Ferb. I have to admit that I love it too. My husband and I just crack up every time we see this show and my 2 year old baby daughter knows the words to the song already. I have put together a step-by-step tutorial that will help you figure out how to draw Doctor Doofenshmirtzby using simple shapes to build up Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s form. This is an intermediate cartooning tutorial that older kids, teens, and adults will enjoy. Even some younger children might be able to draw Dr. Doofenshmirtz if you stand by to help with the instructions. Enjoy!

How to Draw Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb for Kids : Step by Step Drawing Lesson

This is the drawing of Dr. Doofenshmirtz that we will be drawing today (picture above).

Step 1

If you look at the sketched image above, you are probably wondering why I am teaching how to draw Professor Doofenshmirtz when I’m such a terrible artist. 🙂 I purposely sketched out the basic shapes that I see in Doctor Doofenshmirtz’s body shape. Did you ever notice that Dr. Doofenshmirtz has a very slanted oval head? Have you noticed that his torso has an ovalish-ish form to it? Sketching out the basic shapes (lightly) before drawing the more specific shape of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, is an easy way to get a better final drawing.

Step 2

Now we can hone down the more ‘accurate’ shape of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s head and neck. I am going to keep the gray shaped form in the background to help you out.  Just darken a few of the lines now ( as seen above) as well as make the chin and top of his mouth. Don’t worry about mistakes because you can erase these later. Later, you will be using a pen or marker to outline the ‘right’ lines.

Step 3

Now put a number ‘3’ in Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s ear and make the bottom of his mouth and draw his teeth.

Step 4

Now draw Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s eyes…don’t they look like a sideways number ‘8’.

Step 5

Now draw the eyelids and his pupils.

Step 6

Now dry his eyebrows … which sort of look like the letter ‘V’.
