South Park is a crude, humorous cartoon on Cartoon Network. I have been watching it since I was in my twenties…however, I don’t let me kids watch it. This drawing tutorial is for teens and adults…unless parents give permission. I have put together an easy step by step drawing tutorial that builds up Stan’s form with simple shapes. Stan is generally kind, honest, smart, well-meaning, assertive leading character in this show. Find the easy Stan Marsh drawing lesson & instructions below. Good luck.

How to Draw Stan Marsh from South Park with Easy Step by Step Drawing Lesson
Step 1
Draw a circle and then find the center of the face by drawing a line through the center (horizontally and vertically).
Step 2
Now find the center of the left half, the right half, the bottom half, and the top half, as pictured above. All of these ‘guide lines’ will help you place the facial features of Stan’s face.
Step 3
Now draw in 2 small circles (filled-in) for Stan Marsh’s pupils. Also draw 2 downwards curved lines (connected at the ends) for the bottom of the hat.
To Make the Puff Ball at the Top of Stan’s hat….draw a bunch of long oval shapes that cross each other like an ‘x’ or ‘*’
Step 4
See what I mean by making the puff ball by crossing long ovals over top of each other? Also draw the eye brows by drawing downwards curved thin rectangles.
Step 5
Now let the guide lines help you find where to place the eyes. Draw an oval for each eye. Also draw Eric’s mouth and one of his chins in the bottom 2 center squares.
Step 6
Now let the guide lines help you find where to place the eyes. Draw an oval for each eye. Also draw Stan’s mouth by drawing an upside down triangle-like shape. Draw 8 dashes – 4 above the other 4.
Step 7
Now finish the teeth. Also lightly sketch the basic shapes that make up Stan’s form such as a square for the body, ovals for the feet and circles for hands. The head, from the bottom of the hat to the chin is the same size as the top of the body square to the bottom of the oval. Keeping things proportional helps the final character look better.
Step 8
Draw the coat’s collar by drawing 2 ovals. Draw the hands … draw 2 circles for each hand…one is for the thumb.
Step 9
Draw a line down the center of the coat and draw 3 circles for buttons. Draw the lines that make up the arms.
Step 10
Draw an upwards curved line for the bottom of the coat. Draw the lines that make up the legs.
Step 11
Draw the tops of the shoes.
Step 12
Draw the bottoms of the shoes.
Step 13 – How to Draw Stan Marsh from South Park with Easy Steps
Now just erase lines that you don’t need and outline the ‘correct’ lines with a black pen or marker. Making thick, interesting lines instead of the thin pencil lines makes quite a difference in the end result, doesn’t it? If you are having problems figuring out which lines to erase, then reference my drawing (above) for help. Now you will have an amazing cartoon drawing of Eric Cartman from South Park to show off to your friends.
