South Park is a crude, humorous cartoon on Comedy Central. I have been watching it since I was in my twenties…however, I don’t let me kids watch it. This drawing tutorial is for teens and adults…unless parents give permission. I have put together an easy step by step drawing tutorial that builds up Kenny’s form with simple shapes. Kenny McCormick is the poor boy who gets killed every episode (“Oh my God, they killed Kenny! …You bastards!”). Find the easy Kenny drawing lesson & instructions below. Good luck.

How to Draw Kenny McCormick from South Park with Simple Easy Steps

Step 1

Draw an oval for the face and a larger circle for Kenny’s hood.

Step 2

Find the center of the oval face by drawing a line through the center (horizontally and vertically).

Step 3

Now find the center of the left half, the right half, the bottom half, and the top half, as pictured above.

All of these ‘guide lines’ will help you place the facial features of Kenny’s face.

Step 4

Now let the guide lines help you find where to place the eyes. Draw an oval for each eye…the right one is a bit lower.

Step 5

Now draw a smaller oval at the top of the face oval. Also draw small, filled in circles for pupils in Kenny’s eyes.

Step 6

Now draw the part of the hood that closes over Kenny’s eyes. Draw an inner curved line over the right and left eye…also draw the tie by drawing an upside down letter ‘v’ like shape.

Step 7

Now draw the basic shapes that make up Kenny’s form (lightly sketch)…draw a rectangle for the shirt and legs…oval for the feet, and 2 circles for each hand.

Step 8

Now draw the arm lines and the middle of the coat.

Step 9

Draw a circle for each hand and a smaller circle for the thumb on the inside of each hand. Also draw the leg lines by re-tracing the rectangle that you drew in step #7

Step 10

Draw an upwards curved line at the bottom of the coat. Draw the bottom of the feet.

Now just erase lines that you don’t need and outline the ‘correct’ lines with a black pen or marker. Making thick, interesting lines instead of the thin pencil lines makes quite a difference in the end result, doesn’t it?
