How to Draw Cartoon Feet & Shoes When Drawing Comics Cartooning Lesson
Step 1
To start drawing a cartoon foot, first draw an oval with 2 lines at the back of the oval ( as seen above).
Step 2
Now draw the toes by drawing a bunch of backwards letter ‘c’s for toes.
Step 3
Now draw the toes Now shape the foot like the one above. Give the big toes a thumb nail and make the ankle bone by drawing a backwards letter ‘j’ like shape.
Step 4
To show you why a shoe is formed the way that it is, we are going to draw the shoe over the foot…but when you draw your comic shoes, you don’t have to draw the foot first. Draw an oval over the foot and draw a rectangle at the bottom of the foot’s heel.
Step 5
Draw an upwards turned curve at the bottom of the ankle (top left of the shoe). Erase the foot.
Step 6
Put in details and draw the pants leg.
Step 7
To show you why a boot is formed the way that it is, we are going to draw the boot over the foot and shoe…but when you draw your comic boots, you don’t have to draw the foot first.
Step 8
The boot should look something like this.

Here is A Simple Way to Draw a Cartoon Shoe
Step 1
Draw an oval with the pants leg above it.
Step 2
Now draw a curved line at the front of the shoe and draw a curved rectangle at the back of the shoe.
Step 3
Now draw in the details of the shoe and draw shadows at the front of the shoe.

You can obtain a bit of reality in comic drawing by drawing the instep in a man’s or woman’s dress shoes. Look at the pictures above to see what an instep looks like.

Drawing comic feet and shoes requires nothing more than a good look at YOUR OWN feet and shoes … study them, compare them with the drawings in this tutorial, and look for more likeness from a comic point-of-view. Although it would help, there is no need to know the anatomy of the foot, just copy your own and draw them to make them into cartoon feet. Your feet can become famous. 🙂

this is really weird. its a good drawing and definately gives you the cartoon shoe, but why have the people draw a foot before, even if you arent going to have the stinkin foot in it? this was not helpful to me at all.
