PRACTICING DRAWING CARICATURES

I don't wish you to confine yourself entirely to my methods—you should read the opinions of others as well. We do not all work alike, consequently we cannot think alike. Give, for instance, ten comic artists the same joke to illustrate, and you will see that not two of them will grasp the situation alike. I It would be good practice for the beginner to take a published caption from one of the comic papers (ignore the picture entirely) and work out the situation in his own way, just for practice.
