Even though a dancing peacock may look intimidating to draw, once you put down the construction lines, it is quite simple.
Okay are you ready for another fun drawing lesson or what? Good, then start this first step by drawing out some basic guidelines and shapes for the frame of your pretty bird.
Start by drawing a circle with a curved line attached to the left side of the eyes.
The construction lines for a standing peacock is something like this.
I placed a standard sized 5″ x 7″ mat over the taupe colored alpha mat, and drew an outline with a regular graphite pencil, just slightly smaller than the mats’ pre-cut 3″ x 4.5″ opening.
Searching for peacock images, and getting a rough idea of its form is quite easy. After that, create a neater sketch in another layer over it and delete (or hide) the concept layer.
